She's come Now I feel the touch of the presence that's always been peripherally with me She is the messenger of forgotten times, she is the key to access what I know I've wandered a valley that she now lets me see from above And on the other side of this oracular ridge Lies the valley of the ancients I see their greatness But I see their limits, too The fog of time quickly rises Showing me truths of ancient and modern life This epiphany she provides me Is assuring me that the acme is our time We should have been way ahead at this point But why aren't we better off? In some ways we haven't surpassed the ancients In most ways we really don't do enough I have seen what I've always known I have seen what we all know I have seen what I've always known I have seen that we're wasting our prime The fog of time quickly rises Showing me truths of ancient and modern life This epiphany she provides me Is assuring me that the acme is our time

Old Oligarch 07:34
We shouldn't advance Their views create a world that's rotten Power is unbalanced The future should be forgotten Is it now We die with pure minds Is it now then so be it Back off, witch of the clockwork We created you, but your allegiance has shifted The clock will not be smeared with madness Our thoughts have not yet drifted Refuse her drug Knowing more will harm you child Dwell in fog Don't cross her bridge of lies Refuse her drug Knowing more will harm you child Dwell in fog Don't let her feed you lies Celestial being, keep away from him He shall be kept in his blissful illusion He'd rather die than be redeemed And stand in between the ranks of your mad revolution Refuse her drug Knowing more will harm you child Dwell in fog Don't cross her bridge of lies Refuse her drug Knowing more will harm you child Dwell in fog Don't let her feed you lies His thoughts are mine Purely non-divine We shouldn't advance Their views create a world that's rotten Power is unbalanced The future should be forgotten We shouldn't advance Their views create a world that's rotten Power is unbalanced The future should be forgotten

Knowledge of time I harness her powers I am the prophet of change We sleep in this final hour We still have time to change our ways I've seen it through her eyes, we can be saved I don't believe what the old man said That strong links form weak chains Knowledge of time I harness her powers I am the prophet of change We sleep in this final hour We won't listen! We are above them! They don't know our problems They don't respect our progress This stranglehold can be eased if we choose to rise From the slumber in which we ourselves sing lullabies Our threads have been measured and they have been spun Before they're cut, we shall unite and weave them into one To meet on the ridge and face our shared fate: The priestess of the clockwork will help us to create A new society under the light of the true sun If we don't strangle on the cord, we can be born We still have time to change our ways I've seen it through her eyes, we can be saved I don't believe what the old man said That strong links form weak chains Visions of past I'm wielding the clock I am the prophet of change We sleep in this final hour

Insight 05:28
I should have closed the door That led to the divine Actions have consequences for The victims of time Someone else Should make the change I go back home To endless prosperity We live on loans That our children pay I know they'll die The clock, she will not rewind it So, the bridge does lie Through me the weak minded Someone else Should make the change Someone close In time and space The burden of insight I live a troubled life Destined to fall The last chapter will be written in blood We are certain to fall The burden of insight I live a troubled life

Maxims 11:02
Child: Well-behaved Youth: Self-disciplined Middle-aged: Just Old: Sensible Look back without sorrow You grow as strings rain Increasingly hard to form the links into chains As you're born You're more and more lost at sea in the eons' storm The places you've been Yet you turn your back to the things you've seen The ridge is the chord Of every unborn child in stories you ignore Death unites You've fought yourself in every phase of your life I am a part too You've only got yourself to blame; I am you You failed fulfillment of your prophecy And you fall You cut your own string You chose it all Drink and quench your sorrow with water of oblivion

Anamnesis 05:46
All she gave me was a mirror All I see is reflection I can only wave across the bridge And I wave back I have been tricked By this false brightness The firmament is just a ceiling Of another cave What does it change to know that we're one and not brothers? This fight for the greatest fruit is what caught us As our minds merge, we reach our most powerless state True knowledge does not prevent us from being too late We are too late We haven't changed in time We're done, and I drink
